About the guide
Meet Jason & Ashley—Your Northwoods fishing guides.
Jason Heindl is a licensed and insured fishing guide with more than 20 years of experience on the water. Along with his wife Ashley, also a licensed guide, he helps anglers of every age and skill level enjoy a relaxed, well-planned day fishing the Northwoods lakes around Minocqua, Woodruff, Arbor Vitae, Hazelhurst, Lake Tomahawk, Rhinelander, Three Lakes, Eagle River, St. Germain, and Boulder Junction.
Whether it’s your first time holding a rod or you’re looking to sharpen your approach, Jason and Ashley keep things patient, practical, and fun. The goal is simple: understand what the fish are doing, enjoy the water, and make the kind of memories that bring people back.
Conservation is part of every trip. We practice catch, photo, release for muskies and trophy-sized fish, and we are always glad to recommend a quality replica mount for a fish worth remembering. Keeping a meal of fish can be part of the day, but the long-term health of these lakes always comes first.
